Atlanta rappers Johnny “Olu” Venus and Doctur “WowGr8” Dot, better known as EarthGang, are well-known for pushing the envelope with their fashion choices. The duo brought statement-making looks to Paris Fashion Week for the first time in 2024, and now they’re checking off another major milestone in the realm of sneakers. EarthGang has linked up with New Balance for the first time to introduce a new collection dubbed “Saturated Suedes,” releasing exclusively at Foot Locker and Champs Sports in March.
While rather tame in comparison to the fits EarthGang pops out in, the New Balance 550 and New Balance 9060 are both given clean, suede-heavy makeovers. The 9060 appears with “Clementine” and “True Red” overlays, while the 550 is prepared in “Navy/Electric Sky” and “Clay/Ash/Melon Water” colorways.
EarthGang has starred in PUMA campaigns in the past, but they’ve never released a true collaboration with any major sneaker brand. Given the group’s renowned fashion sensibility and large following, we can’t help but wonder when that will change.
